Football season is here and I haven't written a word since it started. These 13 hour days are cramping my writing, at least I have found time for art. Thursday, September 21, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Santa Fe ( Mae Bruce) library I will be having a book signing for The Honey Bee Girl. I hope to see some of you there.
The Art department at my new school has been fantastic. My students are creating wonderful pieces of art. I have completed quite a few new things in the last month: An Iguana warrior, a fantasy pen and ink with a dragon, another character study for my incomplete novel, The Midnight Jungle: Rork with a falcon. I have also began an oil painting with a Raven from Montana.
I recently did a compilation piece in pencil that seems to be interesting on a strange plane of awareness. I still have a few short stories out on the market and now that school is smoothing out I am ready to plunge back into my writing with Midnight Jungle, the mystery novel-Chicken Night, and the epic: Olobe' Pumba.
I have added a dozen or so new pieces of Artwork to the galleries and even added some new galleries. Check out Mr.Odd's Gallery. The 3-D gallery will be added to this month as well.
One humorous thing happened at my Art room last week. A student came to my room and asked, "IS this a science class?" I informed him it was Art. His reason was all the stuffed animals and nature things (bones, skulls, driftwood, fish, snakes, etc.) looked like a science class. I guess it kinda does but what about the Tuba, Hockey goalie mask, giant King Kong-T-rex movie display, Bruce Lee poster and WOnder Woman and SPiderman? Until next month, Thanks for stopping by!
