The New year is flying by and I am having a hard time keeping up with the pace. I am still frantically producing art...working on 3 and 4 pieces at the same time. My art students participated in the Visual Art UIL regional competition and three medaled, getting the highest awards. I was proud of all my students that entered.
This month I will be speaking at the Brook Book Club about my novel, The Honey Bee Girl, and I am extremely pumped about that!
Next month I am getting ready for the Mainland Art Festival and I hope to have 2 art pieces ready for that show.
This year I am coaching Girl's Golf and we seem to have gotten off to a positive start. I am hoping for a great season out of my team!
The writing continues on the mystery novel, Chicken Night. I hope next month to have new art posted in the galleries. 2006-07 has been an incredibly productive art year for me! See you next month. Doug Hiser |
