SUMMER NEWS! I miss my students already now that summer is here but it is affording me the time to get better physically fit and to attend to my business of writing.
This fall will see the release of my 3rd significant new collection of short stories! The new book will be called TROPICAL CALYPSO and if you are reading this you are the first to find out the title of the new book. It features some of my award winning stories from 2006-07, such as, Shrike, The Barefoot Girl, The Shark in my Backyard and Fernando. Also included are some of the zine published stories like, Texas Fire Ants, The BIll Cherokee Wampus Troupe in Carnival Square and Jason's Cave.
This summer I will FINALLY complete the Mystery novel that I have been working on for TWO years! It was called Chicken Night, named after the short story where it got its origin but the name will be changed and I look for a release of maybe 2008.
At the end of this month Gayln and I wil be traveling on an eco-adventure-beach trip to Puerta Vallarta--after that we will take a trip down to Mustang Island and South Padre Island and finish our summer the first few weeks of August along the coast of Maine and Canada--whale watching, sea kayaking, eating lobster, and exploring the rocky coastline and mountains near the sea--keeping an eye out for the massive and powerful abundant Moose of the Acadia region.
