SUMMERTIME!
What a school year it has been. SO many wonderful students of mine at CBHS. I also produced 91 pieces of art this year-had artwork in three gallery shows so far-and became a Semi-finalist in the Galapagos Grant Trip- I find out if I go in July! I enjoyed speaking at Santa Fe HS last week and I hope I am responsible for inspiring more young people to read books! Our Art club was awesome this year and I look forward to our summer project at the school-GO WOLVERINE'S!
Gayln and I have many plans this summer. Our biggest trip will be to Italy-Rome, FLorence and Venice. We will also relax and snorkle in Florida. i will be hopefully be doing a few festivals and book signings squeezed in there and alot of writing on my new novels.
This summer I will be promoting the sale of my finished unpublished novels: the double award winning MONTANA MIST-which is a shame that it has not been sold to HOLLYWOOD! AND the Funniest thriller mystery novel along the Joe Lansdale and Carl Hiassen genre: The Texas Sugar PussyKat Murders! Both are ready to go.
My new fantasy young adult novel, MIDNIGHT JUNGLE is about halfway through and I am also watercoloring my children's book: How The Octopus Saved the World- a story i used to make up and tell my kids when they were little.
The other news is I have begun a new novel. It is an offshoot of the title story in Tropical Calypso: Calypso's Island. If you haven't read any of the stuff in TROPICAL CALYPSO----What the HECK are you WAITING FOR! You are missing OUT! Get your copy today!
Here is an AMAZON.com review: "Following the success of the beautiful novel, THE HONEYBEE GIRL, Hiser returns with TROPICAL CALYPSO, stories that dazzle like imagination candy. Reading Hiser is like changing channels on your TV and finding quirky, odd, lovely episodes on every channel, without any commercials. Able to switch from true love to horror and then dive into another realm where fish swim in the air and blackbirds prophesy death, Hiser gives your brain something to think about. . .and it isn't always safe. "
HAVE a great SUMMER-also check out my son, Cade's video's on YOUTUBE at CADEGOESTOCOLLEGE.
