I have invented a new word to describe my newly discovered technique and application of art. I googled the word and it doesn't exist--BUT now it does and it is now copyrited.
My new style of ART is now called Elaborealism. It means that I take realistic images that create using ink and using a new technique I invented through trial and error, I bring the images to a heightened sense of brighter --more Amplified realistic view -with intense colors more powerful than nature intended. I have Elaborated Realism.
I am having a Gallery opening sometime in the future and it will feature dozens of these new Large Watercolor and ink Elaborealistic pieces of Wildlife art.
March 13th I will be speaking at Santa Fe High School. I will be featuring some of these new large ElaborRealistic pieces and also reading from my books. I hope to inspire students to find the magic of reading and creating.
Check out the last pages of my wildlife galleries and you will find some new art added. i hope to be adding more soon. I am finishing a piece about every two days. I will soon be painting the burrowing owl, the hornbill, a small heron, the ink piece known as Tranquility Girl (the one where a girl reclines above a waterfall), and a tiger profile.
AND in case you were wondering I have passed page 200 of my new novel, The Midnight Jungle. I don't know how much farther it will go, possibly another 100 pages. Thanks for reading so much. Doug Hiser |
