Here we are in December and next month will bring the year 2010. I'm looking forward to a new year and putting behind me one of the most challenging years of my life. Although the year was tough, many great things also came from the adversity.
I painted over 100 wildlife paintings, among the other 100 or so other types of art i produced. I wrote more poetry this year than in the last five years combined. I had a great writing job at the Town Orbiter and wrote many many articles for the publication. My new novel nears completion. I illustrated Theresa Haak's children's butterfly book, Monty Finds his Family Tree, Published my 2nd Children's book, The Fish That Ate The World, and I am finishing up the next children's book, The Rain Berry Quest.. I was featured and spoke at many events, including Featherfest, Armand Bayou Earth Day Celebration, Bay Area Writer's Conference, 2 writing workshops, Santa Fe HS Art and Writing presentation, Haak Harvest Celebration, BAHCVB Grand Opening Celebration, Giddings Word Wrangler Festival, and a few more.
I now have also published hardback books of my wildlife art and another of my surrealism. My book, Tropical Calypso, is in the hands of Independent FIlmakers and producers in Austin, Texas and My Movie Trailer of The Honey Bee Girl is still in Post Production.
I've made more new friends this year than in the last ten years and the wild ride keeps on going. I want to thank all of you who have read my books, my stories, my poems, enjoyed my artwork or even just sent me an email saying "HI". WIthout you guys...I probably wouldn't write as much or create as much art. You are my backbone and my motivation!
Really gang, I'm just trying to make my mark on this world. My new galleries are up and they represent almost 300 images in 14 different kinds of Art Galleries. I am a hard working artist and author/writer/poet. Not a single day goes by where I do not work in one of my creative fields.
